D is for Drum

My friend Nancy gave me a great advent idea called the ABC's of Christmas. (You can check out other FHE lesson ideas here.) So last night we were doing our nightly letter of Christmas--"D" for drum. Of course, you have to sing "Little Drummer Boy" with a Christmas item like that. Unfortunately only Tyler & I know the song. Whitney and Cole were laughing their heads off each time we sang "pa rum pa pum pum". And their laughter made it harder for us to sing the song. I guess when you think about it, The Little Drummer Boy is probably on the list of top 5 funniest Christmas songs. Who thought of saying "pa rum pa pum pum" after each phrase?
