This little munchkin surprised us all a few weeks ago (on June 5th) when she started crawling on all fours by herself. It was weird for me to see her missing those pre-crawling "steps." I kept waiting for her to scoot or do the army crawl or something, but she didn't! It is quite a dainty and deliberate crawl. We love it.Her cousin (2 weeks younger than her) started saying "SO BIG" so we followed suit and began teaching Annie that trick too. Here is a picture of her saying "so big"... sometimes she grabs her hair while she's doing it.
And just today and yesterday, she's been saying hi...with her hands, of course. It's so fun! Both of her pudgy little arms just flap up and down at full speed while she grins from ear to ear. It's amazing to me to watch these little babies learn how to communicate.

We had put Cole & Whitney to bed already, and we thought Annie wasn't quite ready yet. I went about doing my things and Tyler started up his game. Then he called me in to see this:
She had just lain down without a fuss; we couldn't resist taking a picture of her in this flexible position.
On another note: Does anyone else get confused with how to use Lay or Lie? I wasn't sure which one to use as I wrote that last sentence so I looked it up here. Check it out if you wish. I learned something new tonight.

That's so funny - before I read your last question about the use of lay and lie, I thought "Wow, good use of lain!" No one ever gets it right! In fact, I don't use it right myself sometimes becuase it sounds weird. Anyway, good for you! And what a cute Annie.
Thank you for the grammar lesson. I get confused by that one all the time.
Very, VERY cute pictures!
Oh she is precious. That darling head of hair and that little bundle of love. Did she ever go bald? She got some great genes. She is so sweet asleep on the floor.
I love you forever for sharing with me Englishplus.com!!! Also, your Annie is such a sweetheart!
Soooo adorable. Congratulations Annie! We love you! Jenny
Annie looks a lot like cole in that last picture.
how old is she now?
i just answered my own question... cute birthday tickers!
What a cutie! There's just something special about #3.
Ha ha. I'm a college writing/comp instructor and, I must confess, I avoid lay/lain/laid/lie at all cost! I'd write "flopped over on(to) the floor" or something to avoid the misuse. :) While we're at it, I still haven't mastered sympathy/empathy. How pathetic, huh? (Yes, I DO know THAT 'path' word.)
So hey! Annie's hair is so dark! I didn't know that. She looks like such a love.
Hope all you Nelsons are dandy.
fyi: We're up in WA/OR looking for work! Will keep you posted.

Loving that sleeping picture of Annie - SO CUTE! Isn't it amazing how fast they grow?? Cliche but so true!
Oh my gosh, that picture of her asleep on the floor is just adorable! What a little cutie she is!
Thanks for the grammar lesson! I did know lay vs. lie (not that I use them properly), but had no idea about the others. You know, I'm always getting my past participles mixed up!!! (Like I even know what that is!)
She is so incredibly cute!
LOVE her! I can't believe how big she is getting. I love that hair of hers. So darling! Love you guys. Oh, and the venom post was too much! I was dying!!
