Things we loved about the Rodeo:
- Riding horses
- Petting animals at the mini petting zoo
- Watching the Grand Entrance of a skydiver with the American Flag
- Wild Cow Milking--Tyler's favorite rodeo event; very entertaining!
- Eating amazing BBQ sandwiches
- Matching pink cowgirl hats for the girls
- Cole is obsessed with anything oceanic: sharks, whales, and especially killer whales (I think because he gets to say the word KILL). Shouka the whale show was definitely a highlight.
- Cole LOVED the characters: Batman, Bugs Bunny, Thomas, Sir Topham Hat, Tweety etc. etc. He couldn't get enough hugs from them.
- Whitney didn't want to get near the characters
- But Whitney LOVED the rides; the little daredevil wanted to try every ride she was tall enough for.
- The park was hardly crowded, so we rarely had to wait in a line, if ever
- It was great prep for Disneyland next year
- Playing Guitar Hero & other Wii games with everyone
- Having Grandma & Grandpa babysit every chance we got (THANK YOU!!)
- Enjoying meals with everyone
- Superfranks (like Chuck E Cheese)
- Seeing my little niece perform her dance recital on the big stage; it was adorable!
- Playing baseball together at the baseball fields
- Grandma teaching the babies how to drink out of straws
- Sticker books (sharks & Strawberry Shortcake, respectively) to keep the kids entertained
- Letting the kids enjoy the sun and water at the local park
Here are some of the pictures I got of the weekend. Wish there were more! Thanks for all the fun times!

So fun! You're parents are the best! Sounds like one crazy fun summer week! I'm happy Cole got to say "Kill" without getting into trouble! ;)
oh my stinking cute. i'm loving your pictures! looks like a super fun trip.
Don't you just love when family comes into town? Especially the babysitting - knowing they really want to be with your kids. So fun seeing pictures of your parents - they're the best!
You got to go to a rodeo??? Yee haw!
For the record, my sheriff dad used to compete in the Wild Cow Milking contest between the lawmen and the firemen in Roy, WA. He earned himself many a belt buckle that way. :)
Glad you got special times with the kids and grandparents.
Looks like great summer fun! I vote we do a reunion at your place cause it looks like there is so much to do for kids! I love Whitney's note to Tyler on Father's Day.
Love the cowboys hats! We're so glad that your parents could come and visit and that you have your sister close by --nothing better than being with family. Looks like you had a fun visit! Thanks for sharing. Love, Jenny
