Six month Shanny

Lately when saying Annie and Shannon's names in the same sentence, the girls have been renamed "Shanny and Annon." I wonder if "Shanny's" nickname will stick....

So Shannon turned 6 months last Sunday! She had her check-up (on Apr 6) and did not disappoint:

Weight: 17lbs. 4 oz. (74%)
Height: 27.5" (96%)
Head: 17" (71%)

Here's a photo dump (as my sis-in-law calls it!) of Shannon since the last time she was featured on the blog:

We enjoyed some one on one time with Shannon the other night after all the other kids had gone to bed. We loved how these PJs said, "I woke up on the cute side of the bed."
The baldest little girl around!

Here's a pic from my cell phone of Shannon when we were at a park in February. She was looking so grown up in the hat; I had to take a picture.
My cute friend Camille taught me how to crochet, and this hat was my first (don't look closely, Camille!!). I put the light pink bow on an alligator clip for easy removal.

She's really into pinching anything these days... especially skin

 Constant loves from everyone:

Oh man. Feeding time. This picture probably sums it all up:
Shannon is NOT interested. And I am so tired of getting everything filthy in our feeding attempts. As you can tell from her growth in her stats above, my milk (or should I say cream?) is definitely doing the trick. But my sis-in-law (Phil's wife who had a baby 4 days after Shannon!) gave me some websites that are inspiring me to do better at introducing Shannon to new foods.

She started sitting up around 5.5 months. This gumball machine is her favorite toy. She pulls down this lever all by herself and loves watching the lights and sounds go crazy.

Someone put the mouse ears on her while she was napping...
Thankfully she didn't seem to care!

Did I mention she loves her gumball machine?

Here is Shannon napping in our bed. I love coming to get her after naps. She's starting to do that pilates crunch thing where she starts out like this...
...and then when she sees me come in the room, she tries to sit up and get a better look. Of course, she's always swaddled like a mummy, so she doesn't move much more than an inch or two, but it's still the cutest thing to me. I love her little smiles; she can be stingy with them, so I am grateful for when I can catch a smile or two from her--especially on camera.

Shannon is absolutely beautiful. She has the Nelson look, but total a look of her own too. Love her chub and that perfectly shaped little head. What a doll face. Love you guys. It's always too long between visits. We miss you.

Natalie, Shannon is just adorable. I have a beloved cousin named Shannon, and we always called her Shanny. We still do! I love that nickname...even if it rhymes with her sister's name, Annie.

Oh my goodness she is so dang cute! I love everything about her. I am loving her sitting up so well. Wes isn't quite there. Also if you make cream does this mean I make skim? Ha Ha.. funny how different they can be only 4 days apart.
