Waking up Dad with breakfast in bed:
I believe we made him a smoothie and cinnamon rolls (Pillsbury style) even though they're not pictured.
Whitney REALLY wanted to make Tyler a "poster with candy on it," so I took her to the store, and she picked out all of his treats. She is really into puns and jokes right now, so this gift was right up her alley.
A couple months before Father's Day, one of the kids picked out "The Giving Tree" from the library. I had forgotten what a tender book it was, and as I was reading it to the kids, I burst out in tears. I knew it would be a great book to give Tyler for the upcoming holiday. The kids loved having a few minutes of daddy reading to them...
... and then I had to finish the book when Tyler burst into tears. Such a tender moment!Whitney has a mild obsession with giving foot massages. Tyler soaked it up after Church:
We love you, Tyler! Thanks for working your tail off non-stop to provide for us. Thanks for always taking time to teach the kids interesting things. Thanks for being so forgiving and level-headed. I am honored to be on this incredible journey of parenthood with you!!!

LOVE Shannon's face in that first picture.
And I need to get ahold of that book and read it to my kids too. I think it's Emma's life goal to make me cry while reading books...it happens too much I guess. :)
