How can you resist stocking up on $0.25/lb pick-your-own (PYO) tomatoes?!
It's a recipe for awesomeness. And I know it's cliche to say, but really... those were the best tasting tomatoes!! Bright red all the way through and perfect. Can't wait for next year!
VISIT:
My dear roommate from BYU called and we got together for dinner on Sunday the 4th.
It really was such a treat to see SalliJune again, and it was an even bigger treat to finally meet her precious husband and children!
PLAY:
Beachbum Nelson got an invite to learn how to surf, so he brought the fam along!
What's the big deal, mom? I just turned 11 months, so that means I can sit and eat chips in the big kid chair!
Annie had a great time collecting (rotten) crab. I can smell those things through the computer screen.
One of the kids stole my camera again--don't know what face I am making... but I thought I should document my attire.
Every time we go to the beach, I sit under the umbrella with my swimsuit on wishing I had worn my jeans and jacket because I'm always cold. So this time I decided to wear just that! Did I look like a huge fish out of water? YES! Did I care? Maybe just a little bit because I looked like a party pooper on the outside, but inside I was having a great time, I promise!
Tyler did well surfing considering it was his first time.
I didn't get any shots of him standing, but I did catch him and his friend pretending to be lost and asking for directions...
Just kidding, babe!
Now we just need to get him a wetsuit so he doesn't freeze to death next time!

Love that you got to pick tomatoes with your cousin, see an old college roommate, and Tyler could surf! Fun update.
LOVE IT! I love wearing a sweatshirt to the beach. Oh, wish I was there now!

Forget the wetsuit and just come to the beach in NC. The Atlantic ocean is MUCH warmer than the Pacific. And we'd love to see you guys :)
