In February 2013, we found a practice for sale in Colorado Springs. We started house hunting, and I found my dream home. We didn't end up buying the house, but sometimes I still dream of that kitchen.
Goggles on all day every day:
Tyler treated us to a family night at the Monster Truck Rally.
The girls discovered Penny the pony at the super market.
Shannon and her valentine's day candy--in heaven, of course
Cole got to conduct the traffic after stake conference:
Annie was SO boy crazy for John at her preschool. She proudly showed off this piece of art to me:
I call this pic, "What were we thinking taking all 4 kids roller skating for their first time?"
Whitney had a great attitude and LOVED it:
Cole had a rough first hour. Fell down constantly and cried a bucket of tears. We told him he had to make it around the rink 5 times and then he could decide if he wanted to quit or not. It took him a whole hour to finish 4 laps. But after he finished that 4th or 5th lap, he decided he wanted to keep going. He won the award for most improved attitude at the rink that day!
One Saturday, Tyler took us all on a random hike in the Ken Caryl neighborhood. We found some rocks and trails and hiked around the area just discovering things.
We got a huge snow storm one Sunday that cancelled church. We got permission from the bishop to have our own family sacrament meeting. I even got to use my singing time lesson that I had prepared for the day.
The day after "home church" Cole wanted to play in the dump of snow we got in our backyard. He is fearless and loves to explore nature.
Cole had a loose tooth, but he didn't want Tyler to pull it. Cole kept smacking Whitney on the buns at the grocery store, so Tyler warned him that if he touched Whitney's rear-end again, then he (Tyler) would pull out Cole's tooth. Sure enough, Cole couldn't resist the temptation. He hit Whitney's buns, and out came that 1st loose tooth on aisle 8 in the grocery store. We thought Cole had learned his lesson. Hours later, Cole touched Whitney's buns AGAIN! This time Tyler pulled the other tooth (that wasn't loose).
That taught him a lesson for sure!!
Annie & I would eat cucumber & tomato sandwiches together when she got home from preschool. A delicious lunch!
