Tyler took the big kids to build a toy car at the Home Depot Children's class. BIG hit to say the least!
Shannon's pretending not to love Yogurt land here
Annie had a pet dog (Shannon) for most of the month of March
Cole's 1st grade class did a big unit on American symbols, and Cole was so proud of all his hard work!
He was especially excited my dad was in town to see the big presentation.
Shannon was loving the museum one snowy day:
Tyler turned 33 and got some great presents from the kids:
Little Shannon could do no wrong.
Whitney turned 9!! We had no idea what to get her for her birthday. She is such an easy-going kid and hardly asks for anything. The night before her birthday, I saw an ad for some cheap in-line skates, so I told Tyler to go pick them up. But he got her "real" rollerblades instead of the no-name-on-sale ones I had in mind. She was SO excited!!
We met Whitney at school for lunch--Annie & Shannon were showered with love from all these big girls!
We celebrated her actual birthday party at her gymnastics gym. She LOVED every minute of it.
Tyler took us to another quality family outing--the motocross:
Annie's first soccer game was a flop. She did NOT want to go out on the field and was so nervous about the whole thing. Her face reminds me of that Olympian--"not impressed".
I found this picture of Kai that Cole drew and was pretty impressed that it looked similar to the picture in his book!
Annie couldn't wait to celebrate Palm Sunday. She made this picture and helped me make fish & bread for our Palm Sunday meal.
Whitney used an American Girl gift card she got for her birthday, and her own money to buy Kit!
I had the kids pack their own lunches for the park, but I didn't supervise. I couldn't believe Cole grabbed 3 tortillas and 3 pieces of banana bread!
The girls packed much more well-balanced meals complete with utensils & napkins.
The kids made their own lemonade stand and lemonade one Saturday. About a half-hour into their business I was in the kitchen cleaning up and I tasted their lemonade. It was awful!! Just water with lemon with blue food coloring. I called them inside and shut down the stand. I was mortified that people had actually bought their poor product.
Thank goodness we were on our way out of the neighborhood. I don't think people would have trusted their stand had they set up another one.
