May was a busy month--two trips for me, end of school projects, and buying our first home!!
In one of these pictures below, Shannon is being a dog. Not sure what she's doing in the other pic!
I took a much anticipated trip to BYU for Women's Conference with my sister. It was a SUPER weekend!!
We got to talk to our aunt for a few minutes before she spoke. We loved her talk!

Tyler held down the fort and acted like taking care of 4 kids solo was a breeze. Seriously, he puts me to shame! The kids LOVED this "May the Fourth" convention Tyler took them to.
When I got back in town from Women's Conference I had to decorate Cole's 1st grade teacher's door:
Totally lame compared to the other more mature doors I saw that day. But I was so glad to have it done because I was on my way to New York for a little get away with Tyler.
We decided to just go to upstate New York for a few days. My mom came in town and watched the kids--we couldn't have done it without her. Niagara Falls was incredible!
The Sacred Grove was so peaceful. I would highly recommend visiting it at the beginning of May like we did. The place was empty, and we saw maybe 2 other people in the forest as we quietly pondered.
We got home on Mother's Day and the kids were ready to celebrate. Tyler made this cute sign with them while I was at Women's Conf!
Of course there was a talent show--a dance to "Gangnam Style"!
I loved Annie's drawing--the instructions were to color in the things that start with "M" like Mother's Day:
Oh and we bought our first house on May 14th!!!! Lots of days spent traveling back & forth from Highlands Ranch to Colorado Springs as we prepared to move on June 8th.
Annie said good-bye to preschool with a darling little concert--standing next to her crush, John!
She stood up in front of everyone and told them that she was going to kindergarten in Colorado Springs and that she wanted to be a chef & a singer when she grew up.
Whitney had to make a costume representing her heritage, so we chose Sweden.
The 3rd graders did a heritage performance, and Whitney was so pumped we were watching her in the audience.
We even went back to her classroom for treats afterward.
A busy, but productive month! :)
