August consisted of us swooning over baby Garrett, starting school, and Tyler & I celebrating our 11th anniversary.
Seriously can't hold the baby enough
We just sit around and go goo-goo over this baby for hours!
Whitney & I got a few hours to ourselves to do some back-to-school shopping:
We had to try any and everything to keep this little big sister away from the baby brother
Happy 11th anniversary! Eating out and texting each other. Woo-hoo!
Whitney & Annie made up a little anniversary song to serenade us:
Garrett's first Family Night:
Tyler had the kids role-playing what to do if they were tempted.
He explained that temptations don't always come to us dressed in black jackets & sunglasses and how we have to be on guard to make good choices. Shannon's quote of the night was, "Hey Annie, Wanna 'moke a gun?!"
I realized one day that I kept waiting for Garrett to be off his oxygen so I could take pictures with my "real" camera. In that same moment of realization, I figured I better capture him as he was at that age because I would forget these oxygen days if I didn't take a few pictures.
One night while I was changing his tubes, I got a glimpse of what he looked like without all the face wiring. He looked SOOOO cute to me!
My mom and I were loading kids in the car to go to the zoo and the 3 oldest kept fighting. We asked them to stop multiple times, and they weren't obeying, so I called the neighbor girl and asked if she wanted to babysit right then. Lucky for me, she was available, so my mom & I left the 3 oldest with the sitter and just took Shannon & Garrett to the zoo.
Our neighborhood knows how to throw a party!
Give me a break with the pictures, mom!
Special Back to school dinner at the Tepanyaki grill:
More pics of the baby:
First day of school!! Whitney 4th, Cole 2nd, Annie Kindergarten, Shannon preschool
One of those moments when all 4 kids are getting along, and it makes you so happy you have to capture the moment on camera:
All day, every day: swaddle, snuggle, and love on this baby
Freakiest day of my life--finding this snake trying to sneak into our garage!! I got Tyler's gun to shoot it, but chickened out because I feared getting one of the kids.
To end off the month, Tyler took the kids to an Air Force game!
