This week, Whitney cut her hair while I was in the shower. Luckily, it wasn't too bad--just some long bangs. It could have been much much worse!

And Cole stuck a bead up his nose. We were driving home from a birthday party and Cole says, "Mom, can you get it out of my nose?" Huh?! I knew we were in trouble. Luckily, my handy husband had some sterilized perio instruments on hand and he was able to remove it without any problems. Cole was so still and a wonderful patient. He did much better than when we brush his teeth every night.

Bwa ha ha ha! That picture of Cole is SO CLASSIC! Definately one to put on the embarassing wedding slide show someday! Way to take it in stride Mom!
I understand about the hair cutting--Eliza gave herself some short bangs one time. :) And Cole's picture was so cute too! Definitely one for the wedding video. I LOVE the Charlie bit me video, I can't get enough! Are you guys coming to Utah this summer?
Too funny. Emma has cut her bangs (short) TWICE and has put a bead way up her nose. I wonder what mischief Tyler will get into.
Sounds like curiosity got the better of them both this week. I'm so grateful we haven't had any haircutting drama...yet! (knock on wood) But, we HAVE had a bean up the nose! Wonder what this week will bring...
So what do normal parents do who don't have sterilized perio equipment lying around? I guess I can just be grateful the only thing up my boys' noses right now are their fingers...
so i always LOVE to read your blog. you are so cute and funny and real! i have not been on the computer much lately because we have had a sick week. anyway - it is good to see life is still going on for my friends. the haircut is not so bad and good thing you got the bead out of the nose. yikes. and the mom thing is soooooooo true. a few years ago i was at girls camp and asked our president if i should get the C A N D Y for the girls and she looked at me and said leigh, the girls now how to spell... take care!
Yeah for handy Daddys with scary looking metal poker things (oh my--did he really pull that out with that sharp looking instrument)!
Oh the fun Mom stories! Aren't you lucky to have a dentist for a husband? I don't think many kids get away without a haircut - do you? Love you.
Sweepy bangs are SO in right now. Whitney is just a little fashion daredevil.
Your blog is so fun! I remember when Kate was Cole's age. She put a tic-tac up her nose (yes, while I was driving). The mint stung a little bit, and irritated her nasal passage so she had bright green snot running down her nose, and it hurt, so she was sobbing. I stopped at a drug store to buy some tweezers. I tried them right in the cosmetics aisle, and when that didn't work, like some voodoo doctor, I just created suction with my mouth and sucked it out. At least it was sorta mint flavored. The Things moms do!
We've had the bead up the nose and the hair cut too..funny memories. Love, Jenny
Ha Ha Ha! I bet that Tyler was sooo excited to use his instruments. And to think they have unlabeled uses! Amanda cut her bangs too a few weeks ago, right to the scalp. She seems to be unphased by how strange it looks. No way to fix that one except to shave her head.
