We do. But I normally hate knowing I'm putting in all that shortening or oil in the batch. Here's a new alternative that we tried, and we really loved it. But you need to like the peanut butter/chocolate combo for this to be a winner in your book.Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
1 devil's food cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 c. peanut butter (reduced fat worked great)
4 oz. (1/2 a brick) cream cheese (reduced fat for this was great too)
Mix all these together and roll into balls. Bake at 375 for 8-9 minutes. After cooling completely, store in an airtight container. They taste even better the next day! Very easy and tasty.
(Oh, and credit goes to Betty Crocker even though I can't find her recipe link online. I swear I got this recipe off of BettyCrocker.com the other day, but I've searched and searched and can't find the recipe on their site. I also looked on Pillsbury.com and can't find it either. Oh well!)

Sounds good -- we'll have to try that recipe sometime. Thanks. Love ya. Jenny
here's the alternative i use:
1 bx of deviled food cake mix
1 egg
1/4 c. applesauce
1/4 c. oil
(maybe a little more of one or the other if you need a bit more binding.)
chocolate chips of course. We serve with vanilla ice cream and some toppings. YUM
i guess it's devil's not deviled as in the eggs. sorry :)
Yum, Di! I've heard of substituting applesauce in cakes, but not in cookies before. I'm excited to try this out! :)
Joe loves anything chocolate and peanut butter... you've made his day!
