No, not really. But it sure felt like it these last two days. It hit 100* here in NorCal, and we were doing our best to enjoy the heat. My sister and I took our kids to a park with water and let the kids splash around. I'm still working up the courage to get to the beach by myself with the 3 kids. I just can't imagine pushing my double stroller through the hot sand without Tyler's help.Anyway, while the kids were playing and my sister and I were under her protective UV umbrella, I told my sister that this 100* heat was totally do-able and that now I understood how Arizonans endure the heat so well.
But then she reminded me that people in AZ have another 10-15 degrees on top of what we were feeling AND they have it for 3+ months of the year! (Is that right, AZ friends?)
Of course, within minutes of me saying how easy the heat was to endure, Annie started crying because she was so hot and tired, Cole was crying because he kept taking off his sandals and burning his little feet while walking on the hot pavement, and Whitney was running around like a wild child--probably because of the heat!

I got home from from school today and packed everyone up into the car to go for a picnic at Drake's beach to escape the heat until sundown. I didn't want to spend a single minute in the house/oven that had been cooking away all day long. I HATE the heat. Cold is somewhat bothersome, but my philosophy is this: you can put on many layers of clothes to gain comfort when it's chilly... However, you can only take so many off when it's hot.
We went to the beach TODAY so I could have "supervise" from the beach chair while Spencer played with the kids. And it was awesome. A light breeze, 82 degrees...way better than 100! Spencer even bought a serious AC unit for our living room because we don't have AC (no one here does, crazy!). Cute pictures of your kids.
I just got caught up and these are some great posts! I love Cole's hilarious Now Mom say.., especially the killing one. Aren't boys great? It sounds like one big party at your house and I would love to be a fly on the wall!
I also love the presents picked by your kids. One Christmas Lincoln wanted to pick his own gift for me. He told Brian he wanted to get me a blue dress to wear when I went dancing at the temple. Band aids and skittles just say love, don't they?
Most of the time here in Denver, I'm wishing it could be that hot. :) Denver is too cold for me.
Ps - I can't wait for Evan to take Colt on his 1st Father/Sons campout - I loved your pictures!!
Cute kiddos. Venturing to the beach with 3 and alone? Good luck. You'll have to give me some pointers on that one. You are just the best mom. What lucky kids.
SO blasted cute! I haven't been on your blog since hecka juicy...just so much going on that the computer takes a back seat. Anyway, I love these pictures. They are too cute. And the camping shots were adorable. Cole is killing me. That kid is hilarious!! Anyway, sure love you guys.
