Whitney sang in church for the first time on Sunday. She was great! We curled her hair for the occasion, but it turned out a little random. I wish we had remembered to take Mother's Day pictures! Doh!
But it was a wonderful day--my first Mother's Day with 3 kids. Tyler and the kids woke me up with breakfast and presents. Tyler got me perfume (which I love because he picked it out himself and I needed something new). Tyler took the kids to Wal-Mart the night before so the kids could pick out gifts. Cole got me some skittles, and Whitney picked out some Barbie band-aids. I hope Tyler takes the kids to pick out presents every year; they were so excited to give me their hand-picked gifts.Tyler & Cole enjoyed their first fathers & sons camp out! I gave Tyler the camera bag as he was walking out the door hoping he'd get some pictures, and he got some winners! Tyler guessed that Cole was one of the youngest guys (if not, the youngest) there, but Cole was a champ. They skipped the foil dinners and went to In N Out for dinner and then ate S'mores with all the other guys till bedtime. It was so fun to hear about their camping adventures, and I'm excited for this to become a tradition for the boys.

Thumbs up, mom! This camping stuff is a blast!Oh, and Whitney was devastated that she couldn't go camping, but she got over it once she realized that she & mom were going to a restaurant for a girls night out. And what amazing restaurant did she pick? Taco Bell. Then our plans were to go over to her cousin's house to watch a movie with popcorn and licorice. After eating her burrito, she said, "Whoa, Mom! I'm so full! ... but not too full to eat junk food at Lauren's house!" :) Always thinking, that girl!

I see that cup in Tyler's chair and I'm thinking, how expensive would it be to fly to CA just for a stop at my favorite burger joint?
I'm glad you had a fun mother's day!
I loved the hand-picked gifts! Priceless!
Also good to hear that the boys had a good time on their campout. We've got a Fathers/Sons coming up...maybe I should rethink sending my crew and go get a burrito and a pedi?
fun post and cute kids! about disney go during the middle of the week and if you plan on going for a few days you can purchase tickets online for cheaper 24 hours in advance. you might already know that though... have fun!
Loved the thumbs up! I can't wait until the next father & sons campout. The girls were so cute eating their licorice: "just one last one!"
So fun!!! I love firsts!
Hey this is about your disneyland questions...
I have a couple ideas, buy bubbles and use them while you are waiting in line! The kids love them and all the other parents look at you while their kids are screaming and say..."now why didn't I think of that"!
Also buy a disposable camera for the kids...that way when they are tired and whiney...you can pull it out and save the day...or your sanity!! Plus you get some fun pics that the kiddos took!
Ask the front desk when and where the characters will be...so you can get there ahead of time and it will go much faster!
Buy light spinners at target or something before you go, so at night when all the kids are wanting one that costa 10.00 bucks! You already have them and you saved a lot of moola!
SUCH fun pics! Chris and I say that Cole reminds us of our Adam. Chris got a HUGE kick out of the pic of Cole with his thumbs up at Fathers and Sons. :) And I am still laughing about "have fun killing" and his other funnies. What a crack up!
Have fun at Disneyland!!
Kendall has always dreamed of taking his boys (even before we had them) on the fathers and sons outing. SO, he was brave enough to take them last year. Let's just say, he opted to stay home this year!!! Give them a little more time I think - maybe 2009?
;0)
OH my gosh, those are the cutest pictures of Cole! you can just tell he is THRILLED to be camping with his dad!
