I read about GoogleReader on my friend Cristy's blog. I thought it sounded like a good idea, but I didn't take time to really learn how to do it...till recently. So now I'm a believer!You just "subscribe" to your friends' blog sites, and then whenever your friends update their blogs, you get a notice in your Reader.
I used to take one or two nights a week and click through my list of friends to see if there was any new news on their blogs. Some people update every day, and others update once a month. Now when I have time to sit and check on my friends' blogs, all I have to do is go to my reader and click on the friends that have updated their blog. It's ingenious! One bummer is that it doesn't work on people who have private blogs... But I love how all I have to do is click on the blogs with updates in my reader instead of going through my whole list. So nice!

Very cool tip! Now that my list of contacts is extending down the side of my page, that would certainly come in handy.
Sorry about the Disneyland let-down. It's probably more of a bummer for you and Tyler, but may prove to be more fun next year. Your kids will be a little older... Whitney and Cole will be a little more impressionable, and may actually remember it better.
I read about this too on Cristy's blog and she changed my life. :) Until people like me go and ruin it by going private. :)
I just did this last night! I love it so far. Sofi is on my lap reading your blog with me and is waving and saying, "Hi, Cole!" Why won't he say hi back??
Your blog is so cute. I wish I had more time to update mine. Your kids are adorable! They grow up way too fast. What a bummer you postponed your vacation, we did the same thing. We are planning a disneyland trip next spring too, we took our kids the last two years, but not this year, and they keep asking when we are going. They have to wait until I can go and enjoy it. I love reading about your family and staying updated. I am definitely going to try this new thing!
I too was wild about Google reader for a while. Then it became more of a chore to stay on top of everyone's updates and comment every time they posted. I'm curious to know if you like it as much a few weeks into it. Isn't technology amazing? I love how keeping in touch just gets easier and easier!
