Cole got his first official haircut the other day. It was much needed; the last 5 haircuts we've given him have been horrible and not the best for our parent/son relationship. But this lady was quick, sweet, and her scissors & clippers cut like butter. It was beautiful. Cole even made a few friends while he was there. I think it was the best $10 I've spent in a long time. The lady that sat behind us at church even complimented us on what a great job we did at cutting his hair. Too bad we had to tell her that it wasn't us!
Whitney finished up her dance class with a cute little recital. She loves to re-live her dance days by watching her performance on the TV. She is eagerly waiting to take her soccer and swimming classes this summer. She even asked me today if she could be in a different soccer class than her cousin so she could make new friends. Wow! Go Whitney! That's a big step for her. I think taking this class by herself helped her break out of her shell a little. I love hearing Whitney talk about "Be-A-trice", her dance friend.
Annie turned 8 months a few days ago. She is on the verge of crawling and gets quite grumpy when she's reaching and reaching for something and can't get it. She loves getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth a hundred times trying to figure it out. By some fluke the other night, she pulled herself up to standing twice while holding on to a toy basket. She looked so grown up! But she hasn't done it since, and I'm not encouraging that behavior for a least a few more months. I still need to baby proof!
We all went to the Giants game on Saturday with some friends. The seats were in the nosebleeds, so we got a great view of the bay. But not too good of a view of the game going on. This picture was taken after the game was over; it wasn't that empty in the nosebleeds, I promise. Seriously, why do we even try to take a family picture? It's not like anyone knows how to look at the camera!
I love this picture of the kids cheering with their daddy. It was so cute hearing their little voices chant "Go GIANT...Go GIANT!" I don't really think they knew who or where the Giants were. Whitney was a little apprehensive about going to the game because she feared Goliath would be there. But after explaining the difference between "real" giants and baseball Giants, she happily attended the game.I LOVED this little mini baseball park they had for kids. It was so adorable, and the kids were nuts about it. As you can see, our kids take their baseball stances very seriously.

Whitney keeps asking me to sing the "Take me out to the Ball game" song. Maybe we can go see another game soon. Fun memories!

Cute pictures!! Glad Cole did awesome with the haircut. Colt has a full on meltdown everytime he gets his haircut...
What a fun update! It was fun to hear what's up with the Nor Cal Nelsons. I read your update to Steve, Houston, and Brady tonight before bed. We love and miss you. Love, Jenny
That picture of your hubby and kids cheering is SO cute! What a fun family you have. And you can't beat the suckers at the Hair cutting place! William is always better when we go Pro. I think my sheep shearing days are over...
What great pictures! I liked the one by the empty nosebleeds. Lots of characters in that group, for sure!
what a great family photo! you hardly ever post pics of yourself and i love seeing you with your kids--same beautiful Nat from 232!
What fun! I definitely agree about needing a neutral third party for the hair-cutting. Micah is not a fan of my haircuts! Your family is so adorable; I just get the biggest smile every time I see your blog.
Love this update. And, I'm crazy about the picture of your kids and Tyler . . . priceless. I'm still laughing about Whitney and her fear of running into Goliath at the Giants game. :) Love it.
Sending our love,
Annie (Karren) and fam
The game looks fun! And once again, you have amazingly funny stories about your kids. You must laugh all day long.
What a cute little family you got going on girl! That pic of the kids and Dad--that is a very, very good picture Nats! BTW--when did all this professional picture taking start with you? Did you take a class or just a natural talent thing?
Fun pictures of game day and nice new hair cut for little Cole! We try to recreate those fun haircutting places in our home, but it usually doesn't turn out the same...
more fun! i know what you mean about not encouraging standing and walking - once they walk, you lose all control and church is nearly impossible. cole's hair looks great! we torture our kids with home haircuts every few weeks with mixed results. whitney looks like she is on her way to following in her mom's beauty queen footsteps:)
Your pictures are so darling. I always love coming here to hear what Cole has said lately. I come whenever I need a belly laugh! :)
I love the picture of Cole's haircut! Actually, I love all the pictures, but the "Go Giant" one is my fave--you really do have a gift of capturing the moment in words and pictures.
Hi guys. Cutest pictures! Cutest family! You really are raising some gems. I love hearing about the funny things they say. It's so adorable, and they're so smart! Hope to see you in Utah some time. love, Darci
I love the "Giant" and "Goliath" mix-up. So cute!! Your kids are adorable. We have yet to do any exciting familly outings, but Brady is still quite young. It looks like the baseball game was fun. What a good-looking family you have.
