Oh, that girl. The saddest part is that I was on the phone just 5 feet away from her (while nursing the baby and trying to schedule an appointment on the computer). As soon as I got off the (maybe 7 minute) call I was on, Annie came over to me and said with a lilt in her voice, "Oh mah-ahm! I cut up your beh-hed!"
Besides cutting up my sheets, Annie is up to other things... Like being in PRIMARY! Here are the kids after their first Sunday in January:
Annie is getting better every week--learning the routine and rules of class time.
"Can I kiss her mom? Can I touch her mom?!" are the questions I hear all day long.
Annie enjoys playing with her princesses. Since she has 2 Mulans, she named this one "Jezebel." She will adamantly protest if you call this one anything other than Jezebel.
A few weeks ago, Tyler asked the kids to each come up with a fun activity we could do over the weekend. Annie's activity was going to the temple; for at least a six months Annie has had this obsession with the temple. She prays for it(?), loves visiting it, and talks about it daily. Here she is dancing to her song of "Jesus Said Love Everyone" during our recent visit, pointing for emphasis on the last part "others will love you":
And yes, that t-shirt took a trip to Goodwill where it will now be loved by a smaller 3 year old.Annie loves being a BIG and little sister to these girls...
How can you get mad at a sweet little Annie Scissorhands who sneaks out of her bed to cozy up in your bed?
You can't!

I especially love the last picture. My kids do that, too, and it just melts me!
I love your updates.
I can't believe how well you've captured her personality, both in photo and word form.
How lucky she is to have a mom like you!
She has the funniest personality-- I think she must get it from her mom :) Loved this snapshot of Annie. What a cutie.
Love it!! I love her "I cut up your beh-hed!!" Oh my, dying. Thanks for this darling update. Hugs!!
I don't think I could get mad at her, either. She is so full of spunk and love!
Oh Nat, those sheets, wow!!!! And I think Sarah and Annie would get along great, because Sarah is the same way with Luke. Will NOT leave him alone, ever. He is pretty patient with it all most days. Love these pics. xo
oh my gosh, i read this at first in the middle of the night and seriously laughed out loud. what a stinker! but so adorable! and so fun! i'm sure your life is anything but calm and easy right now...but you do have wonderful, entertaining children.
(by the way i just found a GREAT new bedding set for me...maybe you should get one too...ha ha).
You got to hand it to Annie for keeping your daily life very exciting... in a few years when she goes to school all day you will miss having her around cutting up your sheets and all her other Annie-isms. She is looking more and more like her Aunt Marlie to me...thanks so much for the update and sharing some details and cute pictures.
