My sister Heidi bravely drove herself and her 4 kids down to visit us! She made the entire trip without stopping to fill up her tank with gas. Talk about a trusty little Odyssey! Now I like to tell people that my sister and I live just one gas tank away. :)
Reunited
These two, I think, have missed each other the most. Moving is a hard concept for a little 3 year old mind to grasp, so it was especially great for Annie & Andrew to see each other again.
Berry Picking!!
Heidi and I thought the kids would last maybe 5 minutes at this berry picking farm, but the kids proved us wrong. If the sun hadn't been beating down on us so hard and if the babies didn't need naps, I'm sure we would have stayed longer.
* Surprisingly none of the kids said a word about the dozens and dozens of bees buzzing all around the bushes and our faces.
* We loved seeing the kids meander through the fields with their buddies filling up their containers.
Shannon helped herself to a raspberry and stained her shirt in the process. Then she decided she preferred the binky:
Cole couldn't get enough of the camera...
Just asking me to take pictures of him at every turn...
Then he took the reins and borrowed my camera--
This was the cutest one he got, and the only one I'll post. The rest of the pictures were of other random berry pickers and people's backsides as they walked.
*By the way, cute Lauren (above) showed up at our house with her front tooth hanging by a thread! With Lauren's permission, Tyler yanked it out 2 minutes after he walked in the door from work. Whitney has been pulling and yanking on her front teeth so she can have a matching grin. :)
Oh, and the farm also had this cute wooden truck to play on and some animals to feed:
Bottom line: it was a major hit. Please come visit us in June for blueberries and in July-Sept for the raspberries. Mmmmm.
TIDE POOLS!
I love letting the kids roam the tide pools. The beach feels safe, and there are so many fun things for them to discover...
Like:
* cool shells
* what the binky tastes like dipped in sand:
* how many minutes it takes to get their dry clothes wet
* and how cute my sister can look while trying to keep her little baby warm!
Hogging Ella
We spent lots of time eating up this little 10-pound 4 month old.
She is the most petite little gal you'll ever meet!
I only had to wrestle Whitney for the baby 3 times.
My brother-in-law flew in late Friday night and drove his family back on Sunday morning, so we decided to maximize our Saturday with him at the beach.
My sister and I both forgot our cameras, but thankfully Tyler's iphone came through to capture some memories!
Beaches are so much more fun when dads come along. Thanks for coming to visit us, guys!! Come back soon!! :)

That is so fun that you all got to be together! Looks like it was a great weekend. I love your blog Natalie and your pictures are so awesome. How do you make your photo collages? I have been trying to make some or even make the pictures larger with no luck. Any tips?!
Berry picking looks fun. What great memories your kids are making.
