Our first time back to our beloved Nor Cal town was a full success. The only thing wrong with the trip was that it was TOO short!! We left Disneyland at 7am on Saturday, got to my sister's place after lunch, and then left Sunday around 12 to get back to So Cal. Definitely not long enough of a trip. :(
My camera's battery must have died on this trip because I can't think of any other reason why I didn't get more pictures!!
I had to document my babe driving...
...because he doesn't last long behind the wheel. Bless his heart. He starts out great, and he's a wonderful driver, but after about an hour I start to see him slapping his thighs. Then he'll turn the radio up loud. But when I see him start to pull out his leg hairs (not lying), I know that it's time for me to take the wheel.
Anyway... I got that shot of him driving past the beautiful hills near our old Nor Cal stomping grounds. We felt like we were home again--giddy about being back there. It's such a great place, but unfortunately too many oral surgeons think the same thing!
The reason we drove up was so we could see my niece's sweet baptism. It was a lovely day, and such a tender meeting. Here are the cousins before we left for the baptism:
Those 2 on the right couldn't be happier that they were finally reunited!!
And Whitney was beyond excited for Lauren and her special day:
At the baptism, my sister gave the sweetest talk that I'll always remember, and there was such a tender feeling there. We also loved being back in our old ward on Sunday and seeing so many old friends; we wish we could have stayed longer.
Till next time, Nor Cal!
