How to visit Disneyland with 4 kids

* Enlist your 8 year old daughter to help you survive the bus ride from the parking lot to Disneyland.
* Have your 6 year old be the navigator for the day
* Bring your rickety umbrella stroller and make any kid that you had to pay for walk

* Ride lots of baby-friendly rides like...
NEMO
...Jungle Cruise (with an entertaining tour group who scream when fake alligators and piranhas jump out of the water!)
...and the Carousel.

* Meet up with your husband (and his uncle and kids) after their conference classes are through so you can see Star Tours...
...and so he can take the big kids on wet rides:
* Stay in the Grand California Hotel that has its own entrance to the park and adorable kid-size rocking chairs in the lobby.
 * Start off day 2 with a Character breakfast at the hotel and by freaking out your baby!
[It really was adorable; Shannon just flipped out when the characters got in her personal space. They also took the kids on a conga line dancing through the restaurant.]

* While dad is gone at classes again, take the kids to visit more places that don't have height restrictions like:
Small World...
 ...Toon Town
 ...Winnie the Pooh
...and jungle cruise a few more times!
 ...don't forget to also visit:
-- Monsters Inc.
-- Toy Story Mania
-- Pirates of the Caribbean
-- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
-- Haunted Mansion with a kid clinging to each of your legs and 1 clinging on your front--scared for their lives and screaming so loudly. Someone might even call CPS?

*Meet up with dad again, and keep the kids up super late to see the World of Color water show.
We made some great memories, and we hope to make lots more in the coming year because we got season passes. The 3 day pass and the So Cal annual pass (with lots of black out dates) were the same price, so we figured it was worth it. PLUS... 3 weeks after we bought the passes, the price just went up $70/pass, so we're even happier we got them when we did.

Here are a few highlights of things we video recorded to show Tyler. Enjoy Disneyland with the Nelsons in 80 seconds...

Wait a second? You bought season passes even though you might be (I'm hoping so) moving to Colorado? D di you decide to stay put? Email me! I also want to know your secret to a flat stomach after baby # 4. I'm getting discouraged...I love Disneyland. If you stay put we'll come and go with you maybe in the fall!

So awesome! Loved the video (especially the Star Wars moves and Small World dance moves), and Shanny just is the cutest baby in the world. I wanna eat her cheeks right off.

Woohoo for season passes! We love our season passes to the places around here--but Disneyland? Somehow it will be hard to top that!

Your post on Annie just kills me! How cute are her drawings?! And could you please do a post on how to make such brilliant kids? How is that girl writing so much already? What do you do?!? And they are all such artists! I'm still remember those great pics Cole did on the musicians--budding geniuses!

Love it! If we were there we'd be all over Disneyland with you guys! You rock. Way to pull off fun trip with four kids under 8! Seriously, your kids are going to grow up with such great memories of how you and Tyler just relish life with gusto. I also loved little Annie's post. How cute! And how advanced! You have a bright one on your hands! Miss you! Love,
Kristi
