After the Getty Museum, we headed off to eat our picnic at the Los Angeles Temple. Whitney & Cole had never been, so we decided we had to take them there before we left.
The visitor's center has these little electronic drawing pads, and the kids' pictures go up on the screen after drawing them. It's pretty cute!
We listened to the missionaries talk about Jesus Christ for a few minutes. I don't know why 1/2 my kids don't have shoes on...
After that, we headed over to Beverly Hills to see a special cupcake store
If you've ever watched "Cupcake Wars" on
The Food Network, you'll recognize this place as Candace Nelson's very
own cupcake shop. Whitney & I
asked the workers where Candace was, and they told us that she had just
opened up an ice cream shop next door and was around frequently. But we didn't see her. I guess you're only supposed to see 1 Food Network Star/day when you're in L.A.
I think it's safe to say the cupcakes lived up to their hype---delicious!
We did stop by my cousin Brynne's workplace. We weren't sure if we'd see her before we left town, so we wanted to make sure to say our good-byes. :( With all the pictures that were snapped that day, how did we not get a final cousin pic?!?! Doh!
Then we headed back home after 4:00 so we could be sure to experience the peak of rush hour LA traffic. ;) Even with the 18 mph traffic flow, we really had a heavenly day in LA!!
