Oh were we glad to take a trip up to see my dad and Grandma Harrison (Grammie)! When we arrived, there were treat bags for the kids, and my kids thought they had hit the JACKPOT!!
The kids loved visiting their great-Grammie, and Shannon sure warmed up to my dad quickly!
After a delicious dinner, we enjoyed visiting together. Whitney busted out some of her songs on the piano, and my dad played the guitar too!
We took the kids out to the garden and they were fascinated by the veggies growing.
My dad was a kid-magnet, and the kids sure loved spending time with him & my grandma.
I was so grateful we got to visit. I realized that it's one thing to keep pictures of people on the fridge and talk to my kids about them. But it's a whole different thing for the kids to experience their extended family and have memories of their own. It's fun to hear them talk about their grandpa & great-grandma and remember these visits!
