Tyler's sister Marlie & her family are out here in Colorado with us.
MARLIE is one of the most gorgeous, kind, funny, and generous people around. She keeps me rolling on the floor laughing whenever we're together. We love being closer to her now and try to see her and her family as often as we can.
KRIS is Marlie's husband who is the perfect match for Marlie. He is soft-spoken, wise, kind, and takes excellent care of Marlie & their kids.
JACKSON is their oldest (about Cole's age). He is a kid that's quite perceptive and mature for his age. He's got a sweet heart and loves to follow the rules. He & Whitney play well together, and Shannon is in MAJOR love with him--like hearts popping out of her eyes in love with him.

WESLEY (on the left above) is their second child (1/2 year younger than Annie), and he & Cole get along great. They will sit and play LEGOs for hours when we're hanging out together. Sometimes they get in a trance and their eyes turn into lasers.
LAUREN is Marlie's baby... about the same age as Shannon. She's a sweet and easy-going little baby most of the time. It's fun to see how similar she & Shannon are as they're both learning their words and like to call each other "baby."
We've done some fun things around town with them so far like:
the zoo...... (who cares about the animals when Aunt Marlie treats us to ICEES!!)
the science museum...
Above is Cole's artistic shot of T-Rex's foot...
the girls were measuring sugar content in cereals at the science lab place, and the pic below of Marlie & Kris measures your brain activity. Pretty cool!
the Lego Store (for free lego day)...
and cousin sleepovers!
I just have to state for the record that the boys do SOOOO well at night together. When my sister & I used to have our girls together for sleepovers, the girls would ALWAYS be up talking hours and hours after we put them to bed.
But with these boys, we put them to bed, we hear them tell about 3-4 jokes and then they just fall asleep within 10 minutes. Such a contrast from a girl sleepover!! :)
