Great Anniversary

On the morning of our anniversary, I heard some scurrying around outside my door. Within minutes, our door popped open with Whitney & Annie carrying their karaoke machine. They proudly announced that they had 2 anniversary dances for us.

I quickly grabbed the video camera and recorded their choreographed booty shaking renditions of Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Cassanova" and Selena Gomez's "Love You Like a Love Song." Talk about a great way to wake-up! :) The fact that they knew it was our anniversary and wanted to plan a dance performance was so precious to me!

Then Whitney tossed us her journal and told us to find the many hidden presents they had for us downstairs. She had made boxes for us to check off each gift as we found it.
My jaw was to the floor as I read all the effort she had put in to making this a great day for us.  When we came downstairs, we saw this banner they had made...
...and I couldn't stop smiling. I don't know that Whitney has ever heard the phrase "Happy Anniversary" so she made this up knowing it would be a great way to celebrate our day!

The girls made some drawings, bookmarks, lego words, love notes, and coupons for us--that were all hidden and we had to find.
This drawing was from Whitney...
and then here's sweet Annie trying to copy her, but making us look like aliens...
The girls were so proud of their hard work, and Tyler & I were completely flattered by their outpouring of love and kindness to us. I knew that they had been working on secretive things in Whitney's room for at least a week or two before our anniversary, but I didn't realize the girls were doing it all for us!
It was a truly GREAT anniversary!!! Thanks girls! :)
