Gotta love a corny pun, but really--how much fun is snow for a California family enjoying it for the first time?!
Tyler let the big kids stay up till 11:00 sledding that night of our first BIG storm. I couldn't tolerate the snow and cold long enough to take more than one picture.
The next morning, we went out and enjoyed the beautiful powder
Sweet Tyler got Shannon ready in Annie's coat, Cole's rain boots, and Annie's gloves.
Tyler busted out his snowboard for the kids to try out. They loved it, and can't wait for a real ski trip someday. (That's our house behind the boys--we love this hill that's so close!!)

We were kind of surprised at what a daredevil Shannon was being. She loved sledding!
Cole's snow angel was quickly turning into a grass angel; I guess the snow has to be deeper? Maybe it wasn't quite the "BIG" storm I thought it was!
Annie wasn't with us because she had flown out to Texas the day before with Grandma Decker. We're excited for her to join us for sledding next time!!
