Quality Entertainment...to me at least

I found our old digital camera this week and decided to upload it to our computer to see what was on there. I thought I'd share some of the gems I found.

A few months ago, I let Whitney borrow the Shrek 2 soundtrack from the library. She loved it so much that she practically memorized one song by Counting Crows in about a week. If you like watching people lip-sync, then you'll probably enjoy this one by Whitney. You can hear Cole in the background a few times saying "to infinity and beyond" and asking Whitney to turn him into Venom (because she's holding a wand).

This was taken on April 12th. And Annie was sitting on my lap playing with a toy while I video recorded... Tyler wondered if I was feeding the baby during the video. I may be talented, but not talented enough to nurse a baby while being a videographer.

Next up on the camera... Whitney took the liberty of interviewing Annie. I combined two clips into one to make it easy. This was in April too, so Annie is around 7 months old. Enjoy:

And lastly, Cole. I have to give some background though... one morning, he climbed into my bed to wake me up and he pointed to a mole (or beauty mark as my dad kindly calls them) I have on my face. Actually, he didn't point. He pushed his finger into my "beauty mark" and woke me up shouting, "Is that your medial canthus?" Yes, Tyler taught our kids where their medial and lateral canthi are. So to remember the day where Cole so lovingly woke me up, I had to record him and his funny saying. Multiple times...

Those are the cutest videos I've ever seen. I LOVE seeing your blog because it makes me laugh every time! I wish that we could get our VERY dramatic girls together. I'd love to see how they play. Lydia saw the video of Whitney and said,"Ohh, is she real Mom?" Your kids are adorable!!

Oh my goodness those videos had me rolling. Especially the Counting Crows lip sync--Whitney looks like she might be into heavy metal! So adorable.

This is a dream come true--I've always wanted to have one of Whitney's "berforms" on video so I can play it when I need a good laugh. These are three classics. Love them!

So very entertaining. Whitney is a spunky little thing isn't she? She is a miniature Natalie, I'm telling you.

Too funny! Isn't this the part that makes parenting so stinking fun?

I can't decide which one is my favorite...

OK, your kids are such crack ups. Whitney's lipsyncing was TOO much- what a doll! Chris and I agree that your blog is one of our favorites to look at because of the documentation of the hysterical things your kids say and do.

When Nathan was about Cole's age, he pointed to the back of his head while in the bathtub and asked me to wash his cerebellum with the shampoo. When Hayden was about that age, he spun around and got dizzy, dropped to the floor and said, "Oh Mommy! My cochlea is SO messed up!" I didn't have the heart to correct him and tell him is was actually another part of his inner ear that was causing his dizziness. I was just stunned that he remembered our conversation while I was studying human anatomy in his midst. Boys are like little sponges... They love that stuff!
