Today Annie turned 1 year old! We were all so excited for her; it's fun being here in Texas to celebrate. Grandma & Grandpa know how to party!
We celebrated with presents and cake yesterday before Tyler went back to CA for work.
Then today we took Annie around town with her "My first birthday" shirt on that my mom got her. We took the kids to McDonald's for her birthday lunch, and she ate her first happy meal. After that we went shopping for some new shoes for her and then it was home for naps. 
There's nothing like a first birthday - no expectations, and things can be kept really low key. It was a great day! We love Annie so much and are so happy that she's in our family. She has such a gentle disposition, yet she knows what she wants and is quite determined too. Happy 1st sweetheart!

Okay, I can't even STAND how cute she is!! So I didn't realize you're in TX and left a message on your home phone...basically saying happy bday and that I'm the worst and not only forgot to mail our card to Annie last Friday, but Mama Linda's too. We moved that day and the post office slipped my mind!! Mama Linda's gonna kill me. :)
