Today Cole is 3!! We celebrated yesterday, and Cole already loves his new 3 year old status. As we were driving yesterday, Cole saw the swim center and said, "Mom! There's swimming lessons!" I said, "That's right, buddy!" And then he announced, "Mommy I'm three! Now I can go to swimming lessons!!" He wanted to take swimming lessons so badly last summer, but I told him that he had to be 3. It's amazing the things these little brains retain! Hopefully he won't ask for swimming lessons much longer because I'm pretty sure this place doesn't have swimming lessons in the fall.
We love Cole for so many reasons. He is definitely a mama's boy, and doesn't like it when he sees me getting ready for something. He'll ask, "Mommy, don't go bye-bye, k?" or "Mommy, you're not getting in the shower, right?"
He loves to pretend. Cole can play with his figurines for hours and hours on end. He is great at entertaining himself, and I really appreciate that.
Cole is full of energy and life. He can be loud and intense at times, but he is quick to apologize when he has done wrong. He really has a soft little heart with desires to be good.

Sounds like we had similar weekends with our October babies! Cole sounds like so much fun. I'm noticing the random things my kids remember too lately. A little scary at times!

Best face and hair - what a stud. I wish that A) we were able to see you more, Cole, B) that your Aunt Dani had her life together to get you your present on time, and C) that you'd stop getting bigger!!! No more getting bigger with us on the opposite side of the country. Happy birthday and we'll call in a little bit.
