Man, I have been a blog slacker! Thanks Laura & Shana for the following tags. Obviously I needed some fresh blog content, so this has been helpful. We're kind of in survival mode over here through February, but Tyler's schedule will be back to normal in no time. One more week of trauma, which includes just 2 more days on call! Woo-hoo!!
Tag 1 from Laura:
5 things I was doing 5 years ago:
1) Waxing large in my final month of pregnancy. I was told my baby was coming any day and basically not to sneeze or she would fall out. Whitney came 4 weeks later--a day late.
2) Counting down the weeks till Tyler would finish his undergrad
3) Looking online for housing & preparing for our move to Nor Cal
4) Enjoying my ride to work every day with my sweet & generous friend, Nancy
5) Feeling optimistic about labor & delivery
5 things on my to do list today:
1) Take Whitney to preschool
2) Clean the bathrooms
3) Plan something fun for the family for Tyler's day off tomorrow
4) Update this blog already!
5) Join facebook?
5 things I would do with a million dollars:
1) Pay off our loans from dental school
2) Get new furniture
3) Surprise Tyler with a vacation for just the two of us
4) Move
5) Share
5 places I have lived: (Since this blog isn't private, I'll be generic)
1) Texas
2) Utah
3) Guatemala
4) East Bay, Nor Cal
5) North Bay, Nor Cal
5 jobs I have held:
1) Web designer/office assistant
2) Waitress at a steak house -- hands down my least favorite
3) Dental office worker
4) Summer camp counselor (EFY)
5) Bank teller
5 things I want to be doing in 5 years:
1) Enjoying the place where we will raise our family (if anyone has a crystal ball, I'd love to know where that will be)
2) Helping Tyler with his practice
3) Learning more about photography
4) Improving my sewing skills
5) Voting against insane lawmakers who keep bailing out failing companies and people with their spending packages
5 people I tag:
1) Marlie
2) Danica
3) Sarah
4) Addie
5) Heidi
Tag #2 from Shana:
It's called, "The Top Five Sappiest Love Songs You Sing in the Shower... because you know you do." When I sing in the shower, it tends to be more random primary songs or old Christmas songs. So some of these aren't as sappy as the blog tag instructs, but I think these still count. Maybe I should classify these as the "love-song-that-gets-stuck-in-my-head-after-hearing-it-randomly-on-the-80's/90's mix station." But since I'm a good sport and trying to play the blog tag game, I will start belting these out in the shower every night. :)
5. "Longer than" Dan Folgelberg
4. "You're the inspiration" Chicago
3. "More than Words" Extreme
2. "Never gonna give you up" the legendary Rick Astley
1. "Into the night" Benny Mardones - a horrible song that can stick for days. Easily the worst ever. If I had a music player on here, I would add it. But since I don't, I got this link from youtube to trigger your memory.
Sad. I just noticed that all of these are sung by males. Does that mean I'm an alto or 1/2 man?!
I tag Cristy, Rebecca, Sophia, and Tracy.

That's awesome...but now I think I'll be singing those songs in bed tonight.
I loved your tags. Drew and I were just talking about all the random jobs we've had and thinking we needed to blog about it.
Oh and my crystal ball is telling me that you are going to settle in the Pacific Northwest next to the Ballards. :)
I was a bank teller once too. I kind of liked it but didn't work there very long.
Uh ... duh! You better be living in Texas in five years!!! It will probably be it's own country by then :-)
Why did I never know you were a fellow EFY counselor!! Fun! This was fun to read; but thanks for NOT tagging me. :)
You better be living in Texas in five years!!! It will probably be it's own country by then :-) = I love your Mom! ;) (HI!)
Waxing large... hahaha! Ah...
Good tag! I'll have to consider doing it for once! Hope you guys are surviving February! (At least your not stuck in snow?)
Cute tag! I wish I had a million dollars too! My list would be huge! We need to make plans to get together sometime. Things are settling down for us and we want to see you guys! We will have to plan something!
Awh Natalie, you are the cutest girl I know. Don't we all wish we could know where we will be in 5 years? I would not be here. How fun.
AWESOME! I knew you would not disappoint, Natalie!
Thanks for playing along.
I, like Annie, am hoping you will settle in the Pacific Northwest...Or a little portion of it like the North Bay. After all, I am going to need a good Oral Surgeon to refer my patients to.
Thanks for your blog update.
Natalie I know your heart is in Texas -- I would love it if you guys settled in the East Coast so we could visit with you and your family ore often.
Thanks for the tag! :) I'm excited
You were a great waitress though. And I thought of you the other day when I had an especially friendly teller at the bank. It was fun to see your lists. You're a champ!!
