Shannon apparently didn't get the memo that she's supposed to stay a baby forever. She is a mover and a shaker these days! Here's the latest:
She has 2 teeth! Cut her first on April 25th. It's easy for me to remember that date because I was watching my sister's kids that day (while she was in labor!), and Shannon was the fussiest she had ever been in her life. My nephew's honest comment was, "I hope our baby doesn't cry as much as Shannon!" Made me laugh so hard. I was so relieved to finally figure out what her deal was when I felt that sharp poke in her mouth later that night.

She's using a sippy cup and really likes it with water--she doesn't like bottles anymore!
Since day one of feeding her food, we've been trying to teach her to sign "more." The other night while I was giving her some baby food Whitney said, "Look Mom! She's saying more!!" Sure enough, she was trying with all her little might to put her 2 hands together to do the sign.
Right around Mother's Day she started crawling, and we can't stop her. I can hardly get her to stop long enough to take a picture of her!
She enjoys crawling around and then finding something to pull herself up on. Here she is in Cole's room the other day:
Before I know it, she's off to explore another corner of his room... maybe she'll clean out under his bed for him while she's at it.
What's the big deal, mom? Don't all 7 month old babies try to crawl vertically?
Don't mind me mom... just checking out the dishes while you unload!
This girl is all over the place. In order for me to get a shower, Shanny spends a few minutes here in the mornings:
Who knows what she would get into without that playpen!

But you just brought her home from the hospital!! Seriously, I feel like I was just hearing about you giving birth. Time is flying these days! What a cutie.

Your nephew's comment made me laugh. We were with our nephew the other day, and he was cutting a molar! He was the unhappiest I'd ever seen him. It made me so sad.
Natalie! You have inspired me in mommy-land today. Reading through your blogs, do I have permission to copy some of your ideas? I love the Conference Candy idea, and the April Fools joke. Thanks for blogging. I think Cole's 'smolder' will stay with me all day. It looks amazingly similar to Flynns!
