random pics from The Move

Even though Whitney learned all of the articles of faith last December, she kept forgetting to pass them off at church. She finally stopped someone in the primary presidency and passed all of them off on our last Sunday there. Can you tell she's excited to open her candy?

The day after Tyler's graduation dinner, Tyler's dad had to go back home to work. Linda was giving Steve a big dramatic hug as he was leaving to go to the airport, so I had to snap a shot:
This woman, as I've said before, is a pure animal. I still cannot believe all she did in her two short weeks with us. The ratio of boxes Linda packed to boxes Natalie packed was at least 8:1. Not even joking. If she were from Texas, I'd call her the Texas Tornado, but since she's not, I'll have to call her the mother-in-law monsoon?

In the picture below, she stopped only briefly while packing boxes, deep-cleaning my oven and stove top because I called her name. She was probably simultaneously cleaning out the fridge, moping the floor, and wiping down cupboards too.
I was so happy when she stopped for a few minutes one night to let Whitney rub her feet.

The kids did mostly fine during the packing up phase. Shannon was caught only a few times playing with plastic bags and standing near dangerous chemicals.
Twice we found Shannon like this:
Poor little gal just deprived of attention. "Don't worry about me, guys! I'm all done playing with these rolls of toilet paper... I'll just take a little rest on this random pillow I found in the hallway!"

We had a final hurrah with my sister and her kids in the midst of packing. Can't look at this picture long enough or it might sink in that they aren't in the same town as us anymore. :(

Not pictured:
* Goodies from my sister for our road trip--she is always so thoughtful
* My mother-in-law driving our 26 foot moving van the WHOLE way down. I drove our minivan, Tyler drove his little civic, and she drove that monster.
* Wonderfully helpful men from our church who helped load up the truck
* Wonderfully helpful men from our new ward who helped us unload the truck down here
* The (empty) new house--slowly but surely we're settling in. Aug 1st is my goal for finishing everything.

Will post pics hopefully again soon!

Love this! My favorite is the pic of Shannon crashed in the hallway and your commentary. What a sweetheart!! Can't wait to meet her. And what an ADORABLE pic of the cousins! Glad Mama Linda was there to help with the move - she really is an animal. What a blessing to have a M-I-L that just flies from kid to kid helping every way she can!!

Oh, I laughed so hard at your comments about Shannon - thanks!
I googled your address because I wanted to see if I could check out your new place - your house is beautiful and the neighborhood looks established and a lovely place to live. What would it be like to actually be done with training and live like a grown up....hmmmm. So happy for you guys.
