Around Town

We cashed in on a Groupon for a local bowling place the other Saturday, and we're not sure what the kids enjoyed most: bowling, picking songs from the juke box,
...the filthy fan, or begging for money to play "The Original Hollywood Skill Crane." Cole must have asked 25 times using the full title of that game. We finally gave in and gave him 50 cents to play and, of course, because the toys are packed in there so tightly, he didn't get anything.

Another Saturday Tyler took the kids on a surprise trip to DQ for Blizzards:

We took the kids to see the claymation show "The Pirates." They loved it; it was clean and entertaining. Not a show we'll buy, but fun to use up some of our free passes to the theater. $6.50 for the whole family!
Speaking of movies, I'd like to take a second to NOT recommend seeing "We Bought a Zoo." I hadn't heard a thing about it, but saw that it was PG and new at the Redbox, so we got it for our Friday night movie night. The cursing on the show (by adults and kids!!) was hurting my ears. Not a show I'd recommend for families with young kids. Really could have been a cute show without all the language.

We used a gift card at Jamba the other night, and I couldn't handle the cute cups they gave the kids. Shannon was no longer my baby and officially a big kid at this moment:

Whitney's end of softball party was at our local trampoline jumping place, and we had a great time. Tyler was out of town when we went, but this worker totally filled in for him. He and Cole played dodgeball all night long.

Whitney got an award for her positive attitude and perseverance. No trophy this year because her team got 3rd place overall--only the 1st & 2nd place teams in the league get trophies. So close!
And I'm guessing Annie got the award for funkiest way to drink out of a straw.

Fun little outings around town with your darling entourage. I can't get over how fast Shannon is growing up. All four of your kids are so beautiful and so full of personality. Love peeking in on your life and wishing we lived close by. xo

Fun to see what you're up to! The picture at the trampoline place just makes me laugh. I love that guy just playing with a 6 year old all night. Too funny! Keep up the great updates!
