I bought some songs off itunes the other day so I could have some cleaning music. I started sorting laundry with my new tunes blasting, and not even 30 seconds into the song, I hear a bad word. I went to one of those lyrics sites to see if I was just hearing things, but unfortunately it was confirmed to me that I (and probably my 4 year old too) had heard the cuss word.
I contacted itunes to explain to them that I was disappointed with my purchase, and they immediately refunded my money. (Yes, all 99 cents or whatever it is!)
After that incident I started looking for better songs so I wouldn't have that problem of bad lyrics anymore. I even pulled out my old EFY CDs to have some uplifting music to play during the week.
Then the other night, I was reading the Ensign when I came across THIS article about free music (about 1/2 way down the page) that my church offers. You can check out the free music at: youth.lds.org
Some songs are a little hokey, but there are some great songs on there as well. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else out there is looking for some new tunes. Enjoy!
