CA Trip Day 6 - Thursday

On Day 4, we finally figured out how we could ride the new Cars Land ride that was the #1 most popular ride at the park. We got there right as the park opened, and Tyler made a mad dash for the fast pass tickets while we rode Ariel a few times for Shannon.
Notice Cole riding solo behind them? Mr. I'm too cool to ride this with any girls... including mom!
Tyler succeeded in getting the fast pass tickets, but we had to kill some time before heading back to Cars Land.

We did the Symphony Swings for the first time--the kids thought it was pretty awesome!
We hung out at this water area where they do the World of Color (at night). While we were there, the sprinklers started spraying to the beat of some music while Goofy--dressed in a tux--conducted the sprinklers/music all crazy.
It was pretty entertaining!

Speaking of entertaining, we watched this street show that was all fun & games...
...till they had the crowd start chanting "GO GREEN!!" Hmmmm...

The new Cars Ride did not dissappoint. I had zero expectations for it, so maybe that helped. But I just couldn't get over how amazing it is that Disney can make you feel like you've been transported to another world.
I know the picture above shows Tyler pondering the meaning of the Quadratic Equation, but I promise he loved it too. I thought Cole & Annie's little faces of excitement were just too cute to leave off this post!

I took the two little girls back to the hotel for some naps while I did laundry (amazing how much we accumulated in just a few days!), and then fed them a healthy dinner of Lucky Charms before heading back to the park to meet Tyler & the big kids.
Yes, she's eating out of our empty (but clean) deli meat container from which we had made sandwiches all week.

Shannon nearly died when she saw Minnie as we walked back into the park!!
I was so proud of Shannon for actually hugging--not just high fiving--a character. It was a sweet little magical (cheesy & cliche, I know!!) Disney moment!

We rode some more rides and then met up with our friends for the World of Color.
Another great day!
