Back in CO

We made the trip back from Texas to Colorado in record time. We left my mom's at 7:15am and arrived at our neighborhood grocery store in Colorado at 9:45pm to replenish our fridge after being gone for a week.

We had the barfing incidents down to a science--Shannon threw up in the grocery bag and we kept trekking--no stops for us! The kids learned to expand their bladders as we only made about 3 stops (maybe one or two more in cattle pastures for kids to relieve themselves). But we only made stops when we were sure to accomplish our 3 goals: get gas in the car, use a restroom, and run around outside with the kids. It minimized our stopping and we were so grateful to have blitzed the ride back.

The next day (Sunday) we drove up to Tyler's sister's house where his little brother & their family had been visiting for Thanksgiving from Missouri. Such a joy to see them all again. We enjoyed attending church as a herd.
On Monday, we kept the kids home from school to play with cousins and hang out.
The boys had fun hanging out together again. Tyler got these rip sticks and loves busting them out whenever he can. Especially when all the wives and children are waiting in the car to go to lunch. Just kidding babe! ;)
We enjoyed a great lunch at Cafe Rio with our big group and then we went back to our own home to get back to reality. My kids had had one too many days on vacation and were a bit out of control!
I know... it's so painful to say goodbye girls!!
Once we got back home, we tried getting everyone back to order with just a few hiccups like me finding the girls hiding in the bathroom with the fruit basket filled with left over Cheez-its & crackers from our road trip. Hmmm...
Whitney proudly made Oreo truffles for a church activity cookie exchange with friends. Thankfully they were gone quickly with no leftovers for us to sample!
Shannon stopped calling her church class "nursery" and started calling it "I looked out the window what did I see?" (from a popular song they sing called "Popcorn Popping"). We love getting her to sing it constantly.
And there are just so many things wrong with this picture:
1) Shannon in my bed
2) Wearing Ariel shorts & flannel pants with her nightgown.
3) RAINBOOTS?!?
4) Shannon's hair ribbon tossed on dad's pillow

That's a wrap for November!
